HOUSE AND LIVING

We are cooking whole year on the fire. Only when the summer days are really hot we prefer to cook on electric oven. Or sometimes when we are in a hurry and use quickly electric for cooking.

Nachdem wir nun 6 Jahre in einem Holzhaus leben, haben wir hier schon einige Erfahrungen sammeln können. Ich bin kein Bauexperte, sondern schreibe nur aus meinen eigenen Erfahrungen und dem Wissen, das ich mir angeeignet habe.

I have my new solar system since two month in use. I started carefully to use it at the beginning. Time for a first conclusion. It is not easy if we would like to cover all energy we need with solar. The solar installation would need to be much bigger.

When you build a house you usually just have to connect it to the official canalization. But how it works when you are in the wilderness?

Today a life without internet is nearly not possible. Ok right modern media. My woman still has a half day home office job. That would be not possible without a fast internet connection at home.

It is of course a great comfort to have normal electric supply when you live in the wilderness. Not at last for computer and internet connection to write postings for my facebook page.

Building a house in the wilderness brings you to lots of questions in your planning. One very important is of course how to heat the house in the winter. As there is enough wood around it was clear it will be an oven fired with wood.
