Electric supply / Energieversorgung
It is of course a great comfort to have normal electric supply when you live in the wilderness. Not at last for computer and internet connection to write postings for my facebook page.
The electric supply in Czech is not always so reliably like I know it from Germany. Surly it is not totally fair comparing it town in Germany with lonely place on the hill in Czech. The electric cables are all over ground on sticks. So often when the weather is bad, stormy, lots of snow or thunderstorm the electric is away. It happend often because of the old cables to our house, that we had every few weeks only two phases. That's how our first water pump burned. Unfortunately our electrician didn't made protection on the installation and the electric company didn't feel responsible for this. The pump needs all four phases to work.
Its also not rare that for maintenance they turn of the electric for a whole village or area. Few times since I live here there was also bigger problems so that whole day or few days where no electric in this area.
We complained at service as very often one phase or whole electric was away. They service is often not very friendly and we heard from technicians who came why we have to live on such place. But this will not keep us changing or make us bad mood.
Now they changed the very old electric sticks and also the cable. Since this time the electric is not so often away. And of course they directly increase the price already two times since the repairing works. After the change of sticks on our ground I had to repair my new made horse fence, but ok, for better electric connection I closed one eye.
As more we were wondering as one morning again the electric was away. After the call to the company they said it's a long planned maintenance and it will be whole day no electric.We got the information that by law they don't have to inform us. But they made of course somewhere in the village on an electric stick a note.
Good that we have now solar energy to keep mainly the fridges working. But of course we didn't have water as the pump was no working. So we had to go to the open dwell and carry water in canister. Lucky us that we have alternatives.
You see its always an adventure and you should not take anything as granted. I will think about to expand my solar installation to be less addicted.
DE: Energieversorgung
Es ist natürlich ein großer Komfortgewinn wenn man in der Wildnis lebt und normalen Anschluss an das öffentliche Stromnetz hat.
Die Energieversorgung in Tschechien ist nicht immer so zuverlässig wie ich das aus meiner Heimat in Deutschland kenne. Sicher ist der Vergleich einer Deutschen (Vor-)Stadt mit unseren einsamen Platz hier nicht ganz fair. Hier sind die Elektroleitung alle über dem Boden. Daher kann es leicht Probleme bei Sturm, Schnee oder Gewitter geben. Bei uns ist es aufgrund sehr alter maroder Kabel vorgekommen, dass der Strom ganz oder nur auf einer Phase weg war. So ist unsere erste Wasserpumpe durchgebrannt. Leider hat unser Elektriker nicht daran gedacht die Pumpe gegen den Ausfall einer Phase abzusichern. Auch der Stromversorger hat sich da nicht verantwortlich gefühlt. Die Pumpe funktioniert nur mit allen vier Phasen.
Es kommt auch häufiger vor das für Wartungs- und Reparaturarbeiten die ganze Ortschaft oder Areale abgeschalten werden. Seit ich hier lebe hat es auch schon paar Mal größere Probleme gegeben wo auch ein ganzer Tag oder mehr Tage kein Strom war.
Wir haben natürlich immer den Service kontaktiert wenn es Probleme gab. Der Service ist hier oft nicht sehr freundlich und oft hören wir dann vom Techniker der kommt warum wir an so einen Platz auch leben müssen. Aber davon lassen wir uns natürlich nicht abhalten oder schlechte Laune machen.
Diese Jahr wurden die alten Elektroleitungen nun ausgetauscht. Seither funktioniert die Versorgung viel besser. Und natürlich wurde auch gleich zweimal der Preis seither erhöht. Der Tausch der Leitungen hat auch bei uns auf unseren Grund Spuren hinterlassen und ich durfte erst mal wieder den Pferdezaun reparieren. Aber für eine besser Stromversorgung drückt man mal ein Auge zu.
Umso mehr hat es uns gewundert als eines morgen wieder der Strom weg war. Nach dem Anruf beim Service wurde uns gesagt das es eine lang geplante Wartungsarbeit ist. Gesetzlich wären Sie nicht verpflichtet das anzukündigen. Aber es wurde ja ein Zettel im Dorf an einem Strommasten geklebt.
Gut das wir noch eine Solaranlage haben damit wenigsten der Kühlschrank und Gefrierschrank nicht auftaut. Die Wasserpumpe hat da leider auch nicht funktioniert. Aber gut dass es hier noch eine offene Wasserquelle gibt. Da musste ich halt das Wasser im Kanister tragen. Immer gut Alternativen zu haben.
